Practicing thankfulness as if the vision has already come to pass, may be the key component to actualizing our vision, according to the latest neuro-science research. Events that we visualize have the same effect on our brain as events that are happening in real time. When we set our attention on our future vision, the hope God has for us, with thankfulness and gratitude, our emotions and brain chemistry changes and our neural pathways become re-wired accordingly. When we set our attention toward a vision, the attention bias of our brain shifts focus and our brain starts looking for new evidence to confirm the vision. In this way, the brain neurologically becomes a map of the future rather than merely a record of the past.
There is good reason for this. ‘What we focus on is what we get’ and what we direct our attention and energy towards, not only builds neural pathways but also shapes our external world.
Negativity generally leads to more negativity and striving producing the stress hormones inherent in that way of being.
A positive focus leads to an upward spiral of wellbeing, increased capacities and expansive possibilities for the future.

Torri del Benaco – € 10,00 per person for transport + expenses for drinks
Sirmione(half day excursion) – € 55,00 or visit without a guide approx. €25 per person for transport. Sirmione is known for its thermal baths and Rocca Scaligera, a medieval castle overlooking the lake. Set at the tip of a peninsula, the Archaeological Site of Grotte di Catullo encompasses a Roman villa, a museum and olive trees. The church of San Pietro in Mavino is adorned with frescoes.
Verona A half a day is necessary for this beautiful town (about 28 km from Bardolino)
Boat trip – approx. €25 – 40 per person, depending on the number of people and the length of the trip.
Local market On Thursday mornings the weekly market takes place in Bardolino (nearly at the doorstep of the Hotel Du Lac) and it is a typical Mediterranean market with all kinds of things (clothes, shoes, bags, toys, food…) closes around lunchtime.
How confidential is my session with you?
Your privacy will be respected and any information you provide us will be treated as confidential. Any notes will be kept in a secure location and viewed only by your therapist. Exceptions to this would arise:
If your therapist considers that certain information needs to be disclosed to protect yourself or others from serious harm.
When a therapist discusses a case in supervision. Your details are kept anonymous so that you cannot be identified.
Communication with your doctor – As there are sometimes situations where a referral is recommended, your therapist will discuss with you whether or not you consent to them having communication with a doctor or another professional, and the scope of disclosure. It is required for you to sign a consent form to indicate you give your consent for such communication.
How many therapy sessions will I need?
The length of therapy varies depending on individual/couple or family needs and this will be discussed with you. Therapy may be short-term (3-6 sessions) or longer term (12+).
